Profile of the Borough of Eastleigh
The Borough of Eastleigh occupies a total of 31 square miles in the south of Hampshire. It is predominantly urban in character, with some rural patches. It has a population of approximately 110,000 residents. The main conurbation is Eastleigh.
The Borough of Eastleigh has approximately 45,000 households. Around 84% of the homes are owner occupied (well above the national average of 65%). Around 3.5% are privately rented and 12.5% are housing association stock. The Council does not own its own housing.
