Keep Warm Keep Well – Tackling Cold Homes in Hampshire, 23/03/2004
A new campaign in SHECANe aims to tackle cold homes in Hampshire. Keep Warm Keep Well – Tackling Cold Homes in Hampshire, a recently launched initiative developed through SHECANe’s Affordable Energy Sub Group in partnership with EAGA, kicked off in March with an event from Test Valley Borough Council and Eastleigh Borough Council in Romsey.

The aim of the event is to discuss the issue of fuel poverty, the adverse effects it has on people’s lives, what is being done to alleviate the problem and what further can be done to tackle the issue. Following the event in Romsey, there will be similar events run in New Forest and Southampton. It is hoped that the events will raise the profile of the grants that are available to help alleviate fuel poverty and will also identify specific activities that could be taken to tackle the issue.
